The Journey to Odyssey & beyond...

Varusha varusham thatti thadamadi, odi adi, kushta pattu, we all take part in the Odyssey quiz. This year was no different ! This year was even more difficult as most of the team was in bangalore.

To start off with we spent a long long time "Thinking" of a team name..
in fact, our aim was to somehow win the best team name prize of 3000K. :)

we expected atleast 6 of our friends to turn up. as usual, peeps at the last moment bailed out. reason : school reunion( his school reunites about 4 times a year!)
Baldy the ever "punctual" fellow, arrived from the friendly neighbouring country of medavakkam at about 3.30 pm, after they had given away the papers. his usual dailogue of "heh, baad" was forthcoming.

Me, malai and navaz - all of us out-of-towners (2 from bang , navaz from mysore) had travelled in train and come on time... but the concept of time is lost on our local thatha baldy. I had even applied Leave for the quiz!

Getting to the quiz itself, it was a big dissappointment.. The quizmaster was a new host and was a bit tensed. the old quizmaster Dr.praveen had a sense of humour about him, which was missing with this QM. The usual teams mad it onto the stage.. Finally VV.Ramanan & team took the days honours.. ennakku ninavu vandha nalu layndhu vv.ramanan was trying to win the quiz. ippo avan oru thatha! anyways congrats..

Overall it was a fun experience as we gained some knowledge, met some quiz friends and infact performed better getting 14 correct. That was good considering we were all busy with work and absolutely no touch with recent happenings and no TV !

Getting onto the main matter, both our quiz team names got a mention on stage..
They are as follows:

"There are some things in life that you can get with Mastercard, for everything else therz Odyssey " - (this was my brainchild.. icu)

"Chennai la Color tv parisi, Rendu ruba Arisi, varey enna, Varsha varsham Quiz @ Odyssey.. " - (Malai's brainchild)

we were rather hoping that this team name would win us the prize.. even navaz like it much... here it goes .

"Our quiz team of 3
-------------------
1 can't answer.
2 don't answer.
So, we 3 won't answer."


well, with that am signing.. what do u guys think abt the names... plz leave ur comments..
