Landmark Quiz Adventure

Aug 15 : The day was the Independence day.
<<<<<<<<< .......... rewind ........... <<<<<<<<<

Aug 15 : The day was Landmark Quiz day.

Battlefield : Music Academy, Mylapore, Chennai
Warriors : Sudar, Daniel, Navaz and Annamalai

For us bunch of quizzing enthusiasts this would be the 5th year in a row we would be attending the Landmark Quiz. As usual the usual suspects were teams like : QED , Swami&Friends, No Questions Asked, V.V.Ramanan etc.

As per tradition we went in with three quiz team names hoping to win the best team name prize. Some idiotic name like "QuizFu Panda" won it, but we dont agree. Let me list our team names and i shall let you decide that we 'indeed' should have won it.

1) The Psycho Quizzers from Askok Pillar
2) Athletico Madras
3) "We know we are not the best team name"

due to mr.baadu malai, my choice of this name was not entered. Here is what i chose and this would definitely have atleast got a mention for best team names.
" Robert Mugabe's official vote counters, we Always WIN ! " ------> :D isnt this great ?

As usual, the quiz was fun. In fact this year the quiz master was more jovial and made it more fun. The Chennai round was won by QED (arumbuchu taangada)
Next up were the national finals won by the bangalore team.

I will leave you with a few pics from our quiz journey ....

Super Fantastic Excellent Bala; BharatBala !

To all my fellow Indians,
There comes a time when everyone has to remember their nation. We do this by singing our national anthem right from the core (quad-core) of our hearts ! How can you respect your nation ? If you cannot respect your national anthem.
In this regard, i would like to pay tribute to BharatBala Productions who have taken on a noble cause of national unity and inspiration. [ www.bbp.co.in ]

If you had watched a movie in any theatre in Bangalore, you would have noticed the Jana Gana Mana anthem and a video with AR.Rahman being played. That is BharatBala for you.
The other soul-searching video of their is for the Indian Army portrayed in Siachen (the highest battlefield in the world belongs to India).
Watch the videos and learn to respect and love your Nation. Happy Independence Day !!!
JAI HIND ! VANDE MATARAM!

Respect your National Anthem (Award-winning. Careful might bring you tears )

Thank you Ole Gunner Solksjaer - ManUnited Legend

His number was 20, He's Ole, and he's a United's legend ! 2OLEGEND

OLE OLE OLE OLE ......
(chants from Stretford Stand and South Stand)
How can we forget Ole's last minute touch in 1999?

That day I chanted " Glory glory Man Utd", wholeheartedly. The music still rings in my ears....

Tyldesley's commentary :
"Beckham... into Sheringham... and Solskjaer has won it!"
Tyldesley again followed this with the exclamation, "Manchester United have reached the Promised Land !"

The same chants that were set alight in Moscow earlier this year. He was called the Baby-faced Assasin. Thank you Ole Gunner Solksjaer for your contribution to Manchester United !

How many ever times you watch this video, you don't tire of it.

A Maths Poem

Sin(x) + Cos(x) = TanTex
Sinθ + Cosθ = BournVita

I'm sure that I will always be
A lonely number like root three .

The three is all that's good and right,
Why must my three keep out of sight
Beneath the vicious square root sign,
I wish instead I were a nine

For nine could thwart this evil trick,
with just some quick arithmetic
I know I'll never see the sun, as 1.7321
Such is my reality, a sad irrationality

When hark! What is this I see,
Another square root of a three

As quietly co-waltzing by,
Together now we multiply
To form a number we prefer,
Rejoicing as an integer

We break free from our mortal bonds
With the wave of magic wands
Our square root signs become unglued
Your love for me has been renewed !
